The spotlight shined on Brewster and UND, which led from start to finish in taking a 73-63 win over NDSU before 2,709 fans. The rivalry game hadn’t been played since 2004 and perhaps lacked the punch of past games.

CHICAGO (AP) On their way out of the Great West Conference, North Dakota’s women snagged a tournament championship that had eluded them the past two years. They can thank their two 6-foot-4 centers for leading the way.
The showdown the UND women’s basketball team expected Saturday at Utah Valley never materialized. Utah Valley’s overtime loss at Texas-Pan American last week wrapped up the Great West Conference regular-season title for UND.
JAMESTOWN Shots finally started falling for the 11th-ranked Jimmie women Saturday night just in time to stave off a game effort from the Blue Hawks.
UND, without injured leading scorer Madi Buck, topped New Jersey Institute of Technology 65-55 on Thursday for its first Great West Conference win of the season.
