Dense fog across much of the Northland this morning may give way to strong, possibly severe thunderstorms across the region this afternoon. In the wake of the storms, light snow is possible on Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Duluth, Superior and Cloquet as another wave of heavy rain affects the area.
The Recall Bob Jauch Committee is suspending operations a week short of the petition signature deadline and won’t be submitting signatures to the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board, according to a committee spokesman.
