DWU homecoming was ‘a wonderful weekend’

After a week of non-stop events to celebrate its Dakota Wesleyan University’s 125th anniversary, tired alumni are headed home. It was quite a party.
“We had alumni from 32 states here this week,” emcee Don Jorgensen told the cheering crowd Saturday night at the Corn Palace. Recently named South Dakota Broadcasters Association’s “Broadcaster of the Year,” Jorgensen, Class of ’87, was a member of the football team during his years at Wesleyan. Continue Reading

Thirty-two years after it was released, it’s still played frequently. And no one is scared to bust a move when it hits the speakers.
“Y.M.C.A.” is a classic song that has maintained its popularity and sparked the interest of generations of fans.
The group that sings it, the Village People, is also popular for hits “Macho Man,” “Can’t Stop the Music” and “Go West” and their costumes a Native American, police officer, biker, construction worker, soldier and cowboy. Continue Reading
