When preparing the 2012-13 schedule, UND men’s basketball coach Brian Jones was looking for a nonconference home game over the Christmas break. The search ended at Bowling Green, a Mid-American Conference team that has pushed Michigan State and South Florida to the limit this season.

UND women’s basketball coach Travis Brewster, entering his first season as head coach, has put the finishing touches on his staff of assistants. On Friday, Concordia-St. Paul assistant Drew Woods was named assistant at UND, while Brewster also announced the retention of Val Sussex (formerly Sannes) as director of basketball operations.
The legendary 25-year career of UND women’s basketball coach Gene Roebuck came to end Thursday night. Fittingly, Roebuck’s career ended in the postseason where the UND coach led so many of his Sioux teams over the years.
