There was a great story circulating right after Minnesota lost to Boston College in the NCAA Frozen Four that set up the third national title in pucks for the Eagles in the last five years. The story was that after Minnesota’s 6-1 defeat, the alarm clock rang early the next morning in hotel room of Gopher coach Don Lucia in Tampa, Fla., site of the NCAA tournament.
