The annual Grand Forks County 4-H Day Camp will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Turtle River State Park 22 miles west of Grand Forks on U.S. Highway 2.
(WDAZ-TV) – Managers at Turtle River State park say they’re forced to put construction and upkeep projects on hold because of a decreased budget.
TURTLE RIVER STATE PARK (WDAZ-TV) – It’s a six-hour extreme race that tests peoples’ strength, endurance and sense of direction and it’s called the North Dakota Spring Primer Adventure Race.
Residents of northeast North Dakota were invited to visit the camp of the CCC Company by Capt. Lawrence Holder. Located north of Arvilla, N.D., it was then called the Grand Forks State Park. It is now Turtle River State Park.

One woman’s cautionary taleSue Twedt’s lively game of fetch in the Turtle River with her two dogs almost turned deadly. Twedt was standing calf-deep in the Turtle River east of the Turtle River State Park dam, throwing sticks to Hagrid, her Great Dane, and Mudge, her Labradoodle, on June 19 when both animals disappeared, she said.
