Former Democratic-NPL U.S. Senate candidate Tom Potter will run for North Dakota insurance commissioner, he announced Tuesday.
GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) – Dr. Tom Potter announced Friday afternoon that he’s ending his bid for the Democratic-NPL endorsement for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Ken Conrad.
Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Tom Potter said Thursday that he grew up in a time when Americans could climb the economic ladder with enough hard work and common sense. But that has changed considerably in the past few decades, he told the Herald’s editorial board, which is what prompted him to enter North Dakota’s U.S. Senate race to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Kent Conrad.
North Dakotans have a host of choices in terms of who they want representing them on Capitol Hill after 2012. For the U.S. Senate race, four contenders have come forward: Two Democrats and two Republicans.
