During the Dickinson Trinity boy basketball team’s first practice, head coach Gregg Grinsteinner said nobody rides the train for free. That message meant everyone was going to have to contribute.
Coming into his season, Jacob Good had limited playing time at the varsity level and Dickinson Trinity head coach Gregg Grinsteinner tagged him as the team’s “wild card.” Good gladly took on that title.
The game has been played countless times since they were in elementary school. It has been a battle every time.
The New England boys basketball team was within striking distance 3 minutes into the second quarter. Dickinson Trinity didn’t keep it close for much longer.
All winter, the question has lingered throughout southwest North Dakota. “Who do you think is going to win Region 7 boys basketball tournament, Beulah or Dickinson Trinity?”
