Noem: My position on cuts very clear
To the Editor:
Your April 5 editorial questioned the clarity of my position on federal spending cuts. I believe my position is very clear. On Feb. 19 I voted for $100 billion worth of specific spending cuts in H.R. 1. These cuts are laid out very clearly in the text of the bill, which was publicly available and widely debated and discussed prior to the legislation being approved. Some of the highlights included reduced spending for high-speed rail projects, cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency to stop the implementation of a cap-and-trade regulatory plan, and cuts in unneeded foreign aid.
