Mall of America already in Google databaseThe initial Google index only covers a small fraction of the great indoors, but Google Inc. is hoping that will change as more owners and operators of shopping and transportation hubs submit their indoor floor plans so they can be mapped.
After a four-year wait, Grand Forks area residents eagerly snatched up the newly available smart phone today. “I’ve been doing this for 10 years, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen customers so excited,” a retail district manager for Verizon Wireless said. “They’re shaking hands and high-fiving on their way out the store.”
