Two Duluthians recently spent a few weeks in Ethiopia, traveling through the southern part of the impoverished African nation to promote clean water and hygiene.
Two local teams picked up their paddles and participated in the Dragon Boat Festival last weekend.
Rotary member Robert Morgan reads the book titled “Five Green and Speckled Frogs” on Thursday to the children in the Head Start Early Childhood Center. Morgan and several other members gave books to each of the children enrolled in Headstart at Dickinson, Mott and its home-based program as part of Rotary’s literacy program.
The third-graders at Trinity Elementary West looked up the word “bear” in their new dictionaries.
