Jim Barber, a spokesman for the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials, based in Brandon, Fla., said that inflatable rides “are probably the most dangerous amusement devices they have.” It’s not the rides that are the problem, he said, it’s the way they are set up and supervised.
This year’s Douglas County Fair was a sizzler both in temperature and attendance.
