Ricky Rubio has started to do some light five-on-none work in practice for the Minnesota Timberwolves, another encouraging sign in his long rehabilitation from a torn ACL in his left knee.
Ricky Rubio’s return to the Minnesota Timberwolves is coming. His rehabilitation from reconstructive left knee surgery is on schedule. He’s just not sure exactly when the process will be complete.
“I have been doing this a long time and watched all of the professional teams suffer serious injuries,” veteran Twin Cities sports columnist Sid Hartman writes. “But the fact that point guard Ricky Rubio will be out for the rest of the season after suffering a torn left ACL on Friday night against the Lakers will affect the franchise in many ways and is the most serious one I’ve encountered for more than one reason.”
Kobe Bryant scored 34 points and Andrew Bynum added 26 points and 10 rebounds to lift the reeling Los Angeles Lakers to a 105-102 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.
