State Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says more than 30,000 people took part in the events in Grand Forks, Fargo and Bismarck over the past month. That was an increase of more than 2,000 people from the previous record set last year.

Peterson of Lombard, Ill., a Chicago suburb, was visiting family this weekend. She is originally from Dunn Center. Pride of Dakota continues today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features crafts, food and spirits created by North Dakotans.
