The last locally owned pharmacy in Mitchell will close its doors today.
The Medicine Shoppe has been sold to Walgreens and is closing after nearly two decades of providing prescriptions to its clients. The two pharmacists, Medicine Shoppe owner Jim Buechler and Krista Wright, will take jobs with Walgreens, as will delivery workers.
