4-H members work to refill area food pantries

Members of 4-H clubs across the county are joining to “Stock the Stock Trailer,” and in doing so, stock the shelves at food pantries too.
The 280 Stutsman County 4-Hers plan to gather donated food and personal hygiene items from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 29.

Businesses boost food pantry here

In a neck-and-neck race, three area companies competed to gather the most items for the Salvation Army Food Pantry in Jamestown.
Together, Cavendish Farms and Goodrich Cargo Systems, both of Jamestown, and Cargill Malt, of Spiritwood, gathered 2,811 pounds of food and necessities.

Food pantries see growing demand

Hunger in Jamestown is becoming more commonplace and at the same time donations to food pantries to feed those mouths are decreasing.
