Cando, N.D., pasta plant will shut down

Noodles by Leonardo’s durum mill and pasta plant in Cando, N.D., is shutting down for good, tentatively on Sept. 30. Company officials notified the North Dakota Public Service Commission, which regulates grain elevators, that it had ceased buying and milling durum in October 2011. Noodles by Leonardo Devils Lake plant to consolidate with Cando plant

Noodles by Leonardo, a pasta mill and processor started in 1980 in Cando, N.D., and later expanded to Devils Lake, is consolidating.
Noodles will move its Devils Lake production to Cando over the next several months, according to Jay Janssen, plant manager. Continue Reading
