Twenty-year-old Matthew Jahner has exciting changes coming up after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2008.
The water was choppy on the first day of an Alaskan deep-sea fishing trip, but it didn’t stem the enthusiasm of Matthew Jahner, 20, of Dickinson who was granted the trip by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
It’s the second time in less than a year that Brittany Dvorak, who is battling leukemia, had to call off a family cruise and a chance to swim with dolphins off the coast of Mexico. She was scheduled to fly to Orlando on Saturday before setting off on the weeklong cruise.
