Before we get to what’s happening on the ice, I have a few thoughts about what’s happening off the ice, specifically with the nickname situation.
We have all seen the stories coming out of Grand Forks from the administration, the AD, even coach Hakstol, informing us of the negative fallout to the athletic department resulting from the NCAA’s implementation of their threatened sanctions. But when the facts are checked on many of these claims, it becomes clear that the hierarchy at UND is getting a bit sloppy with the truth.
