When Bernie Van Osdale retired from his job as River Falls city administrator late in 2008, he said he was bound for more time with his boats, a book and family bonding.
The ninth annual Potluck Barn Party will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Williams Barn, 263 Liberty Road. The free event will feature the annual apple pie baking contest. Proceeds that are raised from the sale of the apple pies and voluntary free will donations will benefit Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Inc.
Jason Swavely, Hudson varsity boys’ basketball coach, hosted a basketball skills mini-camp for the Kinnickinnic Special Olympics Saturday, Jan. 7. The group is a local division of Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI).
Two vehicles crashed at the intersection of Saddle Club Road and County Road M in the town of Kinnickinnic at 8 a.m. this morning, Thursday, Feb. 16. Both autos were badly damaged and needed to be towed. Neither driver was seriously hurt. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department was investigating the accident. River Falls Fire and Ambulance assisted and helped reopen the intersection. Traffic was delayed at times.
