GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) – In a letter sent to the North Dakota legislative budget analyst and auditor, UND president Robbery Kelley says that retirement of the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo will cost nearly $750,000.
North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple, along with a delegation from North Dakota, will be heading to Indianapolis in late July hoping to persuade the association to change its stance regarding UND and its use of the Fighting Sioux nickname.
