The Mitchell native has come off the bench for the South Dakota State women’s basketball team each of the past two years during year-end runs to the national tournament.
Sunday, Young made her first start in the conference’s postseason playoffs. She scored 12 points in SDSU’s 62-51 quarterfinal win over North Dakota State at Sioux Falls Arena.
