FARGO The number of flu cases is on the rise in the state and across much of the country, but local health officials say the influenza virus isn’t the only seasonal illness that’s sweeping through the population here.
It’s been a relatively quiet season for influenza, officials said Wednesday. North Dakota has seen a total of 12 cases, well below the more than 300 reported at this time last year.
This year’s influenza season is getting off to a slow start compared to last year’s swine flu epidemic.
