AgStar grant funds fair improvement

The Nobles County 4-H Board of Directors accepted a $2,500 AgStar grant Thursday noon at the fair in Worthington. The grant funded cement entrances and a cement walkway in Olson Arena, allowing for easier handicap accessibility. In addition, window frames near the top of the arena were painted. The grant was offered through AgStar’s Fund for Rural America. This year, the agency awarded grants to 17 county fairs in its 69-county service area. Presenting and accepting the grant are Karen Brown (from left), AgStar closing specialist; Marilyn Anderson, AgStar senior financial services officer; 4-H Directors Jason Behrends and Bruce Lubben; Spencer Enninga, Ag Star Board member; and Kendra VanBeusekom, Nobles County 4-H Programmer.
