The hunger has grown for the Detroit Lakes girls’ golf team after their Class 2A runner-up finish in last year’s state tournament in Jordan.
It was a long time coming, that’s for sure.
The ending to the 2011 season couldn’t have been any better for the Detroit Lakes boys’ golf season, after winning their second Class 2A state championship.
For the second time in the last month, Detroit Lakes 14-year-old Thia Olds will be competing in a state gymnastics meet.
For the first time in a long time, the Detroit Lakes girls’ track and field team doesn’t have an athlete who knows what it feels like competing in the State True Team.
The Detroit Lakes boys’ and girls’ track and field teams eased back into the spring season by competing in the Indoor MAA Invitational at Concordia College Saturday.
