UND’s Sandra Donaldson, feminist and ‘love poetry’ scholar, calling it a career

In the 35 years that Sandy Donaldson has taught in UND’s English Department, she earned a reputation for gentle discourse and old-world graciousness. Donaldson, 68, will retire at the end of the semester, leaving Grand Forks for a new home in Maine with her husband, Rep. Lonny Winrich, D-Grand Forks, who will not seek another term in November.
