Minnewaukan gets $4.8m for flood fight

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has set aside more than $4.8 million to relocate 18 structures and buyout 96 others threatened by flooding in Minnewaukan, N.D., the state’s congressional delegation said Wednesday. The city is near Devils Lake, which has risen about 30 feet and quadrupled in size since 1993. Homes, the school and government buildings have been or will soon be affected by the rising lake.
