As an actor, John C. Reilly has a character actor’s face and a leading man’s star quality. Saturday night Grand Forks will have the chance to see John C. Reilly up close and personal, not as an actor, but as a singer, a role in which he also excels. He’s bringing John C. Reilly and Friends including Grand Forks native Tom Brosseau to town for a concert at the Empire Arts Center.
Grand Forks’ Empire Arts Center has hired Emily Burkland, former Miss Grand Forks and director of the North Dakota Ballet Co. academy, as its new executive director.

‘Great American Western’
There will be all sorts of magic afoot on Feb. 23 when the Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre opens eight performances of “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella” with the Pied Piper tale “Rats!” as the pre-show.
A Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra concert Saturday night, “A Russian Winter,” will feature a cello solo by a native Romanian musician who teaches at UND and some of the most romantic music ever written by Russian composers.
