BEACH The faint sound of a siren coming from a Golden Valley Sheriff’s Department car began to echo in front of Beach High School on Wednesday and it didn’t stop there. A parade of emergency services flooded the school parking lot for a mock car crash that left area sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders with something to think about as they make choices to get behind the wheel or get into a vehicle with a driver who has been drinking. WORTHINGTON Nobles County commissioners voted 4-1 Tuesday to hire a full-time emergency management director to serve as a department head.
WORTHINGTON Nearly a week after Nobles County Emergency Management Director Emily Cenzano was escorted out of the Government Center by County Administrator Mel Ruppert, she’s speaking out about the treatment she says she endured and the possible case she has against the board of commissioners, Ruppert and Deputy County Administrator Sue Luing.
While there is optimism that the Dickinson Dam won’t overflow, city and state officials met Tuesday at the Law Enforcement Center in Dickinson to review plans in case of a flood.
