Hoping to capitalize on social media to prevent crime and keep the community informed, the Grand Forks Police Department has established its own YouTube channel. Plans for the channel, which will be operated by the department’s community resource bureau, started about a month ago.
Mollie Douthit is the featured artist at Local Harvest Gallery at Amazing Grains in downtown Grand Forks with a show that will run through May 2. Douthit, born and raised in Grand Forks, earned a BFA in painting from the UND Department of Art and Design in 2009 and a post baccalaureate certificate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, in 2011.
