UND has signed Dave Hakstol to a new six-year contract that will run through the 2017-18 season. His base salary will be $300,000 and will include some incentives. UND’s Dave Hakstol has been named Inside College Hockey’s 2011-12 National Coach of the Year in men’s hockey. Hakstol led UND to a league-record third consecutive Broadmoor Trophy as Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Final Five champion, as well as the No. 1 seed in the NCAA West Region and a berth in the regional championship game.
