NEW ENGLAND Inmates at Dakota Women’s Correctional Rehabilitation Center aren’t allowed to serve their time idling. Every woman is required to work, if not at the facility, then in surrounding communities, officials said.
NEW ENGLAND The Dakota Women’s Correctional Rehabilitation Center, a 126-bed prison established in 2003, operates on an annual budget of about $4.39 million, officials say.
NEW ENGLAND Armed with nothing more than a can of pepper spray and knowledge of pressure points, Capt. Michelle Westling and Capt. Lenore Witte are in charge of securing the Dakota Women’s Correctional Rehab Center.
