Since starting at Chippewa Valley Technical College in January, Campus Administrator/Dean Beth Hein has been busy mapping the future.
It started in the 1990s in a small, vacated Pizza Hut building on North Main Street. By last year, the Chippewa Valley Technical College, with its own 20,000- square foot facility at 500 S. Wasson Lane, had nearly 1,200 full- and part-time students with programs at 100% capacity in administrative professional; business management; human resources; marketing management; nursing; nursing assistant; criminal justice; building construction; and liberal arts.
Chippewa Valley Technical College is expanding its leadership team at the River Falls campus as it prepares for an expansion of the campus itself.
Before beginning a project management class, Chippewa Valley Technical College student Taylor Mabis had never heard of 2nd Chances or Turningpoint, the River Falls-based organization that supports domestic and sexual violence victims and runs the downtown secondhand store.
Chippewa Valley Technical College will hold a class in River Falls to meet the training requirements necessary to receive a concealed carry license.
Over 70 students are now proud to say they are River Falls Chippewa Valley Technical College alumni.
The Chippewa Valley Technical College Board Appointment Committee is again accepting applications for the employer position on the CVTC Board of Trustees. The person appointed to the employer position will serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2012.
