Grand Forks Central High School took third in the 99th annual state high school Debate Tournament in Fargo with three students that brought home first places in their divisions.
For the past few seasons, Grand Forks Central’s girls basketball team could build around the talents of Caitlin Farroh. Likewise, East Grand Forks Senior High had a force in its backcourt in Chelsey Frydenlund.
When Grand Forks Central’s defense started stacking the line, Taylor Steen took it as a challenge. The Grand Forks Red River senior erupted with his biggest passing game of the high school football season Friday. Steen threw for 226 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Roughriders to a 40-13 win against Central in the annual Cushman Classic.
