Proposed Park District fitness facility would have more attractions for youth

Before UND first opened a fitness center in 2002, college students were the driving force of Center Court Fitness Club’s membership and profitability. These days, Center Court’s membership demographics and numbers are far different. Since the regal UND Wellness Center, which opened in 2006, is free for its students, a new Park District facility isn’t likely to lure them back. However, a proposed replacement facility is targeting a demographic that is rarely seen at Center Court youth.
