The Noodles by Leonardo pasta factory in Devils Lake, which closed earlier this year, will open by year’s end. The Leonardo plant in Cando, which closed last month, has a buyer, officials there say.
Noodles by Leonardo’s durum mill and pasta plant in Cando, N.D., is shutting down for good, tentatively on Sept. 30. Company officials notified the North Dakota Public Service Commission, which regulates grain elevators, that it had ceased buying and milling durum in October 2011. The plant had a rated capacity of 84,000 bushels of storage.
Icelandic Artist Helgi Hjaltalín Eyjólfsson’s relationship with the North Dakota Museum of Art in Grand Forks will bring him back to North Dakota later this month to collaborate with students at North Star High School in Cando, N.D.
