STICKNEY It had been three years since Cindy Sperlich went in for a mammogram.
A friend urged Sperlich, now 52, of Stickney, to attend a free screening from the Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center, so she went. It was February 2007.
“She kept on me until I said I’d go,” she said.
