BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) One of the Mall of America’s original anchor stores is closing. Macy’s Inc. announced Wednesday it plans to close the Bloomingdale’s at the Bloomington mall early this spring.

Macy’s Inc. announced today it plans to close the Bloomingdale’s at the Bloomington mall early this spring. It’s one of four Bloomingdale’s around the country that are closing because of what the company calls underperformance. The Mall of America Bloomingdale’s opened in 1992. The three-story store measures 210,000 square feet and employs 127 people.
