Democrats in the Legislature don’t have a full-time budget staff of 30 like the governor. Admittedly, a bunch of citizen legislators started our plan on a napkin. But it’s a good plan, and your newspaper grossly misrepresented it when you republished the Watertown Public Opinion editorial last week (in last Saturday’s “Other view” section).
The Public Opinion writer said “Democrats, when asked (about the state’s $1 billion cash flow account), didn’t know any details.” That’s absurd. Nobody asked. Continue Reading&
