An already resolved dispute over a $21,000 invoice from VenuWorks prompted a Bemidji City Council work session Monday evening at which the city and VenuWorks both vowed to improve communication. VenuWorks is the management firm hired by Bemidji to run its Sanford Center events center. The company previously managed the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, but the city took over management of the facility at the end of 2011.
