The Hudson-based Kiap-TU-Wish chapter of Trout Unlimited has been awarded a $5,000 Embrace-A-Stream grant to help fund a continuing habitat restoration project on the Trimbelle River, off CTH W, about five miles south of River Falls.
The St. Croix Valley Community Band rehearsals begins Thursday, June 13, at Hudson Middle School. Open to anyone interested in building community through music, the group rehearses Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. Four concerts are slated throughout the St. Croix Valley and provide a rich variety of musical styles.
Tears, cheers and pleas filled the room as the St. Croix County Health and Human Services Board and Council on Aging and Disabilities met together in joint session Monday night.
