Community Memorial Home celebrating 50 years of service

In June of 1963, the Osakis community celebrated the opening of its skilled nursing service facility Community Memorial Home (CMH).

Lillian Martin wanted a low-key celebration, and a small item in the Osakis Review, for her 70th wedding anniversary with husband, Orville Martin.
Americans marked the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks Tuesday in familiar but subdued ceremonies that put grieving families ahead of politicians and suggested it’s time to move on after a decade of remembrance.
