Scoreless tie is a first for UMD women’s hockey team

Minnesota Duluth and No. 7-ranked Boston University left Amsoil Arena with unbeaten streaks intact after a 0-0 overtime tie Sunday afternoon in a college women’s hockey game in front of 886 fans. It was the first scoreless tie in UMD’s 14 years and 488 games in Division I.

They’re on different lines now Austin Farley and Tony Cameranesi but Minnesota Duluth’s 19-year-old 5-foot-9 fabulous frosh are still scoring.
Decorative art was built into the architecture of Minnesota’s two newest college hockey venues. Other open areas inside The Sanford Center in Bemidji and Amsoil Arena in Duluth were left blank and open for an artist’s touch.
The top-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth men’s hockey team will open the new $80 million Amsoil Arena next door on Dec. 30 against UND.
