Boy Scouts, National Guard collect food for Amen Food Pantry

National Guard Sgt. Michael Elkins speaks with Ian Graves and Jonathan Olsen about their mission to collect non-perishable food items for the Scouting for Food event held Saturday in Dickinson. The National Guard assisted Cub Scout Pack 112 by providing transportation in HMMWVs (high mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicles), more commonly known as Humvees, at the request of pack leader Chuck Olsen. The Scouting for Food program is a food drive the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts do every year, the food collected Saturday will go to Amen Food Pantry in Dickinson. Continue Reading
Despite freezing temperatures and wind, 11 Anytime Fitness members and their friends bundled up and embarked on a 5 kilometer run or walk in Dickinson Thursday morning to raise donations for the Amen Food Pantry.
