Verizon Wireless completing store, billing conversion in region

WILLMAR Verizon Wireless Communications announced Friday that the company is completing the billing conversion for former Alltel customers and the rebranding of Alltel stores to Verizon Wireless as of Sunday in parts of west central Minnesota.

Alltel Wireless customers will become AT&T customers over the next couple of weeks as the two companies wrap up their merger. AT&T acquired Alltel’s wireless business in 18 states, including all of North Dakota, and has been preparing Alltel subscribers to switch service since last year.
North Dakotans and rural Minnesotans will finally be able to purchase and use the iPhone sometime during the next year.
