Most of Wisconsin was in the 40′s and 50′s this morning, but a couple spots in the north cooled down to the 30′s after a boisterous cold front went through. A $200,000 cash bond was set Monday for a northern Wisconsin woman suspected of trying to kill four of her six children by asphyxiation. A former business partner claims Eau Claire billionaire John Menard pressured her for sex and later retaliated by firing her husband. Plus more state news.

The Afton Strawberry fest will be held from from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 22, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23 in downtown historic Afton, Minn. The family-friendly event includes food, music, art, vendors and a European-style flea market.
Rhythms of the African Diaspora Percussion Camps will be offered by Babatunde Lea Monday-Friday, July 22-26, at The Phipps Center for the Arts. No previous percussion experience is necessary.
Marie and Bill Loughney of Hudson are celebrating their 60th anniversary. They were married at St. Patrick Church on June 20, 1953. Their children are Mark and wife Debby, Kathy and husband Jerry, John and wife Colleen, Anne and husband Dick, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Guests are seniors, persons with physical or developmental disabilities, military members and families of servicemembers who are deployed, veterans and intergenerational youth groups.
