Take it to them, Larry! It is a total waste of resources and money! Give us our gas straight up.

I have 3 engines dating to the 70′s and all run fine on 10% ethanol. They actually run cooler, in so doing, allows the engine to run better, longer. Just replace the rubber diaphram in carburator to silicone when needs replacing since that is the only part that will eventually leak. gas alone is dry, so it dries rubber parts out anyways. it’s only the small 2 stroke engines that dislike ethanol since it gums up the tiny orifices in the tiny carburator if it sits unused for 2 or more months.

I agree – not everyone has an E85 vehicle. I drive a 99 Chevy – ethanol is horrible for my gas mileage, and I’m not in the market for a newer vehicle until spring. So, I get to pay $4.39 a gallon for premium until then. Screwing the little guy, as usual.
Why would anyone use premium? When driving a gas vehicle I just put in regular no matter what. I have found that even if not an E85 compatable, a 30% ethanol blend increases milage in engines that recommend the 10%. Premium is basically for pre 70s engines and some snowmobile engines or if you have the money to own a high performance car.

“Why would anyone use premium?” Because the other 2 have ethanol!
