I was very disappointed in the Shriners’ motorcycle corps.

This must be your 1st rodeo. They are there every year doing the same thing…..why a problem now? This complaint is a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing.

Holy Cow! Do you live in a cave or what? Go walk and drive around Mitchell and just LISTEN. You have motorcycle after motorcycle drive by with exhaust wide open and not only rattling you but also every house around you….and then add all the pickups of every size with little if any exhaust that competes with the bikes to see who can be the loudest. Holy Cow! You can hear them even after they are a mile away from you. And we are not talking a few here….we are talking about a lot of them! Yup, everybody hears them……everybody gets sick of listening to them….but nobody is going to do anything about it….just part of living in South Dakota I guess. And you complain about noise at a parade…hahaha….you need to get out of your cave….sit there and listen to the wonderful sounds of Mitchell….and then maybe you just might have something to complain about!

When reading this article my first action was to wince and wonder about some people and complaints. I would think if someone is ‘so sensitive’ to the sounds of humanity and a parade, perhaps they should stay at home. Read a book…take a bath or something. I have been to many parades and this type of stuff is normal and expected IMO. It is part of the fun of it. I would suggest as the Boy Scout oath……….be prepared and bring ear plugs if it becomes so bothersome.

The Ninja parade is August 17th. That’s VERY quiet……but hard to see.
