Heritage Action, an influential group that works closely with the Republican Study Committee and its conservative members, wrote a letter Thursday to House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., urging them not to bring two bills to the floor. Both pieces of legislation—the Marketplace Fairness Act and the farm bill—are opposed by the group. Well I don’t think a farm bill will or should pass! I agree with Conservative Republicans and their Heritage Action when they say that “..the Farm Policy is a nearly trillion dollar tangle of agriculture subsidies, welfare payments and environmental patronage….current subsidy programs are rooted in the 1930s…Agriculture today could not be more different…Farmers are pulling in record-high levels of income….Technology has eliminated many of the risks…there is no way to justify continuing to give tens of billions to the farm industry”. Wow! The Heritage Action and their Conservative Republicans really hit the nail on the head didn’t they! We TeaPublicans are going to stand up against the democrats that are pushing this over-ripe farm bill, and do everything we can to make sure this “socialism at it’s best” farm bill doesn’t pass. Government handouts and subsidies must stop!
