Margaret’s Musings: Breaking the silence — what does OFA mean to you?
March 15, 2013 at 6:21 am in Hudson Star-Observer
Remember when politics was fun and friends could banter back and forth civilly? Over the last two years you have followed me on a discovery journey. Completely lost is my naïve attitude that all is right with the world as long as one simply votes. Continue Reading

Margaret,
You may have started a journey two years ago, but your journey appears to have been made with blinders on. It’s hard to continue to read a column where grass roots political work is confused with “community organizing”. When a person of your political persuasion uses that term it is usually meant to be derogatory and often used in conjunction with that accursed “community organizer” Sol Alinsky. Have you read any of his books? Many commentators of the “conservative bent” imply that President Obama was tutored by Mr. Alinsky, even though he died in 1972 when Obama was 11 years old.
On the other hand you have quoted Ann Coulter, the author of books with titles such as:
“Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America”
“How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must): The World According to Ann Coulter”
“Guilty: Liberal “Victims” And Their Assault on America”
“Godless” The Church of Liberalism”
“Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism”
You comment on OFA, but you never mention Karl Rove’s “Cross Roads” organization, or have I missed those comments? Have you written about who is behind the “Astro turf” organizations Freedom Works or The TEA Party Express?
Have you done any of your “extensive research” to trace the links between The Cato Institute; the Heartland Institute; The Heritage Foundation; the Bradley Foundation; the MacIver Institute and the various Koch Foundations? Are you aware of the activities of Betsy DeVos and her various PACs, such as “All Children Matter. You might find it interesting to understand what these various groups are doing in the realm of “Class Warfare”.
Please get back to me when you become familiar with the activities of these various organizations.
Sincerely,
Jim Kubiak
